Sharing is marketing on the internet
For those in the wellbeing sector who are uncomfortable about marketing their wellbeing business, take heart – the sharing-and-caring qualities of the internet are a natural ally.
Give stuff away
The best way to attract new prospects online to let people know what you offer is to give stuff away. I’m not talking about continually discounting or devaluing your product or services. But providing a free sample of your offer may be enough to cut the ice with potential customers while re-enforcing your services with those who already know you.
When deciding just what form that sample should take, think about the conversations you have with new customers and their most common questions. If you were in their shoes, ask yourself: “what information or impetus would I need, and what tangible and emotional reasons would win my purchase?”
Now start a conversation. Remember, it’s far easier to meet your ideal customers in their online community and invite them to your website, than to host a conversation on your website in the hope that people will join in.

Sharing on the web
- Create a 3-5 minute video for YouTube on a yoga pose which you have noted most students need more detail to do correctly
- Give away a chapter of a book you’re working on (It might be just the impetus you need to finish it!)
- Compose a half-hour exercise sequence for a common ailments, eg: menstrual pain, tight shoulders, sore lower back …
- Publish an educational or ‘how to’ article – such as advice on super foods, what foods to avoid, how to get optimum sleep, how learn to relax effectively – the possibilities are endless!
